Reading Goals in 2020

Reading Goals in 2020

Looking back at my reading in 2019, the outcome was very different from what I originally thought it would be. A year ago, while I looked ahead to 2019, I pictured myself reading only a handful of books but very long books. I had set out for a book a week. A month into 2019 though, my goals changed dramatically. I had obtained my reading goal by the first week of February. So, I added a second goal, which was to read a book a day for the year. It was fun and insane. I actually exceeded that, however that was due to receiving several review novellas with Christmas themes.

I have found, just having a number goal is great, but it doesn’t keep me motivated, in the way I want to be motivated. I also tend to lose track of what I actually want to read. Such as, the books that I have had on my TBR forever. So, in 2020, I want to try and focus on the books I really want to read, and I would like to continue to participate in as many buddy reads, readathons, and readalongs as possible.

Here are my reading goals in 2020. You will see they are a bit different than the average reading goal.
