True Gem and Beautiful Writing

A Simple Wedding by Leigh Duncan was a true gem among Hallmark and romance books. Duncan’s descriptive writing and palpable emotions nestled the town of Hearts Landing into my heart.

Hearts Landing is the most picturesque, perfect town. I wanted to move there by the end of the story. I found the overall story more complex than other romance and Hallmark novels. There was a twist in the second half of the book that I did not see coming. The chemistry between every character was tangible. Jenny and Nick shared an extra special bond. I felt very engaged with the characters and wrapped up in the story.

I cannot wait to read more in this new series and from Leigh Duncan. From the initial description I was not sure I would enjoy this book, but in general I love the work that Hallmark presents. A Simple Wedding really did stand out for its writing and story.
